Presenting Masato Hayashi

I was born an raised in Osaka, Japan.  

I met my Canadian wife in the Japanese mountains.  We moved to Canada.  It is here that I slowly began to pursue my interest in art.  

My main form of creating is through painting, I started with oils and have transitioned to mostly acrylics.  I also enjoy wood working.  Creating pieces that are fun and functional.

I enjoy the outdoors and especially the mountains.  Whether this is biking or hiking in the summer, or skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.  These activities and background provide endless inspiration.
